Materials

Yarn: Medium weight yarn (approximately 100 grams) Hook: 3.0 mm crochet hook Notions: 4 buttons, stitch markers, yarn needle, and scissors

Yarn Information & Hook Size Ganga Katli Yarn, or a similar yarn such as Bernat Softee Cotton (#3 Light) or Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton (#4 Medium). To make a larger size (18 to 24 months), simply use a slightly thicker yarn and a 3.50 mm crochet hook!

Abbreviations (us terms)

ch = chain st(s) = stitch(es) sl st = slip stitch sc = single crochet dc = double crochet dc2tog = double crochet 2 together (this is a decrease) fpdc = front post double crochet bpdc = back post double crochet

Notes

The starting chain of 65 measures about 14 inches long. The chain 3 (ch 3) at the beginning of a row or round always counts as your very first Double Crochet (dc) stitch. Always skip the first stitch at the base of the chain, and remember to work into the top of the turning chain at the end of a row.
