Notes

Cross Single Crochet: Work your single crochets by pulling the loop from top to bottom (yarn under) instead of the traditional way. Spiral Method: Work in a continuous spiral. Do not slip stitch at the end of the round. Simply work the next round directly onto the previous one. Always place a stitch marker on the first stitch of every round. Resizing: If you want to make the heart bigger, continue increasing 2 stitches per round until your final stitch count is a multiple of 6. Work 2 to 3 additional rounds without increasing before starting your decreases so the top won't be too flat.
